Fans of Alex Beresford were thrilled to discover that the hunky TV personality has become engaged – with a wedding planned for the coming future.
The ITV star says he is a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to dating and he refused to look for love via any apps or dating websites.
Going down the traditional route of asking friends if they had any attractive singleton’s for him to treat to a date paid off – with the star now set to marry his girlfriend Imogen McKay.

Who is Alex Beresford?
ITV fans will already be well aware of who Alex Beresford is as he has been employed as a weather presenter and TV host on the network since 2004.
Alex was born in Bristol, England, on 17 October 1980 to a Guyanese father and English mother.
The Libran began his career at ITV back in 2004 as an autocue operator before stepping in front of the cameras as a weather presenter on The West Tonight in 2005.
He advanced to hosting the main ITV Weather in 2007 and has famously been a face of Good Morning Britain since 2014.
Many will say Alex is a secret hero as he arguably prompted Piers Morgan to quit the morning news show following an argument about Meghan Markle.
Piers flounced off the set while clashing with Alex about their opinions about Meghan’s interview with Oprah Winfrey – and he then resigned from the show the next day.
Who is Imogen McKay?
Imogen McKay is not from the world of celebrity like Alex – but the pair were brought together by a mutual friend.
Imogen is 29-years-old, works in e-commerce for a top London restaurant, and was raised in Australia where she graduated from the University of Western Australia before moving to the UK.
According to reports, Imogen had absolutely no idea who Alex was when they first met and was oblivious that he helps millions of people wake up each morning as a host on Good Morning Britain.
She told Hello!: "I'd never seen him on TV but refrained from looking him up because I wanted to find out for myself what he was like. When we met, it felt as if we'd known each other for ages. Holding hands and laughing together just came naturally."

Alex and Imogen have a mutual friend to thank for their relationship as they were put together on a blind date – even though the mutual friend thought Imogen was ‘too good ‘for the ITV star.
Alex told Hello!: “I’d been on my own for a while and was ready for a new relationship. But I was adamant I didn't want to try a dating website.
“I'm of an age where before social media, you met a girl, took her phone number and called to invite her out.”
Alex explained that he asked a friend if they knew anyone single that he could take on a date but they replied: “I do - but she's way too good for you.”
However, this only spurred Alex on, as he told his friend: “She's the one that I want!"
The pair were set up on their first date back in August 2020 – and it has been a sunny relationship ever since.

Alex and Imogen have already been engaged for months – but managed to keep their happy news a closely guarded secret.
The weather presenter got down on bended knee at New Year – but the news of their engagement didn’t break until Monday 11 April.
Alex recounted to Hello! the moment he asked Imogen o be his wife while they were on holiday in Majorca.
He said: “The weather was sunny and warm, and the sea was crystal clear. ‘This is it,’ I thought.
“Imogen's not one for taking photos, but as I persuaded her to pose for a picture overlooking the sea, I kneeled down to take the engagement ring I'd hidden inside my rucksack.
“When she turned around, I was on one knee, and asked her the biggest question of my life - and she said yes. It was an amazing moment.”
Who else has Alex Beresford dated in the past?
Alex has kept his private life mostly out of the public eye, but he did have a romance with the British model and interior designer Natalia Natkaniec.
The couple made headlines in June 2020 when it was revealed the couple – who share an 11-year-old son named Cruz – had split.
While the news of their split didn’t reach the public in 2020, it was revealed they actually decided to end their relationship in 2019, but stayed living together until two weeks before lockdown the following year.
Discussing his split in June 2020, Alex said: "As we kind of moved into the summer, myself and Natalia decided we were going to part ways, which, you know me - I'm not a quitter, and I hate quitting things.
"We tried to work through things, but at some point you realise the best thing to do for everybody is walk away, but walking away is never easy.
"We were in the same house up until the beginning of this year, knowing that we were parting ways, it takes a while to figure things out."
