Alesha Dixon fans question her outfit on National Lottery’s New Year’s Eve Big Bash

Alesha Dixon fans were bemused by her outfit choice when she hosted The National Lottery’s New Year’s Eve Big Bash at OVO Arena Wembley.

The 44-year-old singer was joined on stage by comedian Jason Manford for the presenting honours as the London venue celebrated the final hours of 2022 with a star-studded concert.

The former Misteeq band member looked glamourous as she swapped figure-hugging dresses for a bright blue oversized blazer as she showed off her long pins in the leggy display on Saturday evening.

The blazer looked huge in comparison to the Britain's Got Talent judge petite frame, with Alesha adding large hoop earrings, a pink bandeau underneath her jacket and matching pink heels for her unusual look.

People took to social media to criticique Alesha's outfit, with responses to the oversized blazer look not being so kind.

One person wrote on Twitter : "Why does Alesha Dixon look like she is wearing someone else’s jacket ? Like when you are cold and someone gives you their jacket to wear.

A second user commented: "Why is Alesha Dixon wearing a giant's suit jacket? Another new fashion trend, maybe."

Another added: "Alesha Dixon could have used the extra material from that jacket for some trousers."

A fourth said: "Please explain Alesha Dixons oversized jacket. It's a fashion catastrophe."

Music superstar Adam Lambert, who has been the lead vocalist on worldwide tours with Queen since 2014, opened the live show with some of the British band's biggest hits to get the place rocking.

Other acts such as Joel Curry, Katherine Jenkins, Sugababes, Tom Grennan and Westlife provided an eclectic evening of music for the raucous crowd. There were also performances from the likes of Obi Mabuse and Cirque du Soleil.

The event also celebrated those who used National Lottery funding to make a difference to other people's lives, including Ukraine youngster Amelia Anisovych who became a viral sensation earlier this year when singing Frozen's Let It Go in her native tongue while in a bomb shelter as the war in her homeland rages on.

The eight-year-old was in attendance in London and she performed the hit Disney song in the front of the 12,500 capacity crowd before actors from the West End musical came and joined her and Alesha on stage, much to the excitement of Amelia.
