Aleksandar Mitrovic has namedropped St James' Park as his favourite ground outside of Craven Cottage. The former Toon striker is set to face Newcastle United on Sunday, having enjoyed a stellar season so far with Fulham.
Marco Silva's side are sixth in the Premier League and have been one of the surprise packages following on from their promotion last season. The Cottagers are just four points behind Eddie Howe's side and will prove a stern test for the Magpies.
Mitrovic is Fulham's top goalscorer and has the fourth highest amount of goals, 11, in the Premier League, behind Erling Haaland, Harry Kane and Ivan Toney. The Serbian has already equalled his highest goal return in the top flight of English football, with half of the season still to play.

When asked what ground was his favourite outside of Craven Cottage, the former Magpie wasted no time in name dropping St. James' Park. Speaking to Sky's Saturday social, Mitrovic said: "For sure Newcastle, because I played there. The stadium is amazing.
"The stadium is like an old stadium but with some new touches. I like the old stadiums that have the soul."
