Aleksandar Mitrovic has been crowned Fulham fans’ Footballer of the Year for 2022.
The Serbian striker has enjoyed the form of his life over the past year after breaking several records in the Cottagers’ Championship title winning 2021/22 season. Mitrovic ended the campaign with a whopping 43 goals in 44 matches, with 21 of those goals scored from January onwards.
Many fans wondered whether the striker could bring that form into the Premier League and so far Mitrovic has proved doubters wrong. After 12 league games so far, he has netted nine times, with his tally for 2022 now at 30 goals in 33 league games.

Therefore, it comes as no surprise that Fulham fans have crowned Mitrovic their footballer of the year. The Serbian received 64% of votes cast, strolling ahead of Tim Ream, Harry Wilson and Harrison Reed, who finished second, third and fourth respectively, to claim the prize.
Across the Reach PLC football network, supporters have been voting for their Player of the Year from all clubs. Mitrovic did not make the top 20 for that award, which was won by Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes.
Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, who won the 2021 award, was second in the vote, with England Lionesses and Arsenal star Beth Mead finishing third.
