Alec Baldwin recently shared a cryptic tweet on Buddhism after Halyna Hutchins' husband called out the star for 'sounding like the victim'.
In October, Halyna was accidentally shot on set after the gun Alec was holding went off. She died from her injuries.
The widower, Matt Hutchins, made an appearance on TODAY and took aim at the Hollywood star and claimed he shifted the blame for the shooting.
"He said essentially he felt grief but no guilt. Almost sounds like he was the victim," Matt explained.
"And hearing him blame Halyna in the interview and shift responsibility to others and seeing him cry about it, I just feel like - are we really supposed to feel bad about you, Mr. Baldwin?"
A few hours later, Hollywood star Alec took to his Twitter page to tweet about Buddhism.
"In Buddhism being truthful goes beyond simply not telling lies," he wrote.
"It means speaking truthfully and honestly, yes. But it also means using speech to benefit others, not to use it to benefit only ourselves."
Following the incident, Alec gave an interview to US network ABC and said he felt sadness, but not guilt.
He has also spoken publicly about what happened on set that day.
During the TODAY interview, Matt said of Alec: "Watching him I just felt so angry.
"I was angry to see him talk about her death so publicly in such a detailed way and then to not accept responsibility after having just described killing her.
"The idea that the person holding the gun causing it to discharge is not rep is absurd to me."

It comes as Alec prepares to fight a number of lawsuits filed against him following the tragic incident - which also injured director Joel Souza.
Joel was hit in the shoulder by the bullet and was taken to hospital at the time before being discharged.
Cases are being brought by script supervisor Mamie Mitchell, head of lighting Serge Svetnoy as well as Halyna's family.
According to lawyers, the actor had pointed the prop gun at the cinematographer during the set-up for the filming of a scene when it discharged.
The actor claims that he was holding the gun but it went off without him pulling the trigger.
