Alec Baldwin is currently recovering from hip surgery, but wife Hilaria has explained the awful moment he decided to pick up cat poo with his bare hands.
The actor, 65, is currently sleeping in a spare bedroom after the successful surgery, but one of the family pets decided to leave him a present in the room.
Hilariously describing the moment he opted to dive deeper into poo-gate, the mum-of-seven explained to her Instagram followers: "Carmen, Alec and I went out for a little bit and we came back to the cats leaving some surprises in that room, which was poop because some of them are babies.
"The cats are normally clean, but occasionally s*** happens. You can imagine he wasn’t super excited to see that."
But Hilaria left the best bit until last, explaining how the star wasn't entirely convinced the poo wasn't one of the children's crayons.
She went on to reveal "the best part of the story" saying how her hubby then picked up the excrement with his hands and held it firmly up to his nose.
"When he saw the suspect poop, he bent down as only a person who just got their hip replaced three days before could try to bend down. To pick it up to inspect it because possibly it was crumbled up black crayon - quote."
She shockingly continued: "And then he decided he had to smell it to make sure it was not crumbled up black crayon. But no, it was poop with bare hands up to the nose. Cat poops."
The news followed Hilaria's explanation earlier int he week that her man had underwent the surgery to replace his hip.
Again sharing the news with her 999k followers on Instagram, she shared an image of Alec in the hospital bed looking bleary eyed.
She revealed it was a "long time necessary" and explained how the duo had been through "so much together".
She wrote: "As your partner and as you heal, I want so very much for you to leave this very intense chronic pain chapter behind and improve your quality of life."
Alec thanked his wife in the comments section, which also saw a number of fellow stars send well wishes, including author Shelly Tygielski, who wrote: "Sending him a speedy recovery and good health! May he be running around after the little ones in no time!"
