Alec Baldwin's son Eduardo was rushed to hospital following a severe allergic reaction, the actor's wife Hilaria has revealed.
Thankfully, the 20-month-old tot is on the mend following the incident which Hilaria labelled a "scary experience".
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, Hilaria, 38, uploaded a shot of the mother and son on the hospital ward with the youngster attached to monitors and explained she had to give the child an epi pen for the first time.
She captioned the post: " Never a dull moment for us…
"Edu had a very bad allergic reaction today and I had to give him an epi pen. I’ve never had to administer it on my own…it was a scary experience.
"He is ok now and home, but I share with you to remind you that this is a lifesaving tool you may be able to keep around the house. He was in such distress and I believe it may have saved him today."
She continued: "If your doctor thinks you should keep one at home, make sure you know how to use it in advance, because these reactions can come on so strongly and quickly."
Hilaria added that she didn't want to "bore" her 959k followers with question what happened, but was full of praise for the medical team who helped her son during his moment of need.
She concluded: "Fortunately, when I took this photo, he was back to himself and kicking the phone out of my hand…I, on the other hand, was a spent wreck. Love you all and be safe."
Fans and friends were quick to comment on her post offering their support, while hubby Alec, 64, hit the like button.
Among those sending well wishes was film producer Jaime Primak Sullivan, who wrote: "As someone with an anaphylactic allergy i know this fear.
"I’m so sorry you guys had this but so relieved you were prepared. Prayers for Edu and your mama heart."
Actress Courtney Lopez also commented: "Oh no. I’m so happy he’s ok."
And blogger Mary Orton Scudellari said: " So so sorry to hear. Sending you big hugs, mama."
Alec and Hilaria currently have six children together and are expecting number seven.
The actor also has daughter, Ireland, 26, with first wife Kim Basinger.
