All criminal charges against Alec Baldwin have been formally dropped weeks before the trial over the fatal shooting of Rust cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was set to begin.

The manslaughter charges were dropped on Friday (21 April) after newly appointed special prosecutors Kari Morrissey and Jason Lewis said new evidence had been found.
