Aldi slash price of Apple dupe earphones that are ‘better than airpods’

Apple Airpods are a gadget set to be high up on many Christmas wish lists this year, but at £119, they don’t exactly come cheap. But Aldi have just reduced the price of a dupe that shoppers are saying are ‘better than Airpods’.

The Aldi Maginon In-Ear Wireless Earphones originally cost just £24.99, but have been reduced to less than £20 in an online sale, meaning you could buy six pairs for the cost of one set of Apple Airpods.

The earphones have more than 370 five star reviews from shoppers who say they’re an ‘amazing’ alternative.

Just like AirPods, they come with a charging case and a USB charging cable, as well as the two wireless earphones. They promise three and a half hours of playback time, 120 hours of standby time, bluetooth connectivity and a built-in microphone to answer calls.

If you’re worried about a loss of quality with the cheap price tag, these wireless earphones come with a three year warranty, and the reviews speak for themselves.

Of all 417 reviews left on the In-Ear Wireless Earphones , 322 gave five stars and 59 gave four stars, with 91 per cent saying they would recommend the Airpod dupes to a friend.

One review said: “Does what they should do quite bassy for size of them. Better than Apple.”

Another added: “I was about to buy the Apple AirPods 2nd gen when I saw a review on Google news regarding Aldi’s AirPods. I took a punt and so glad I did, they’re excellent.”

A third wrote: “Really love these the sound quality is so good and it is better value for me as can’t afford the apple ones Would recommend.”

While another customer said: “Just as good as Apple ear pods, only better priced. Don't see why I would want to spend 5 times the amount on branded products.”

We pitted them against real Apple Airpods , and found them to be just as good for the price, too. In a review, we said: “They offer stereo sound, and it didn’t sound tinny or distorted when I whacked the volume right up. That said, a more comfortable listening volume could be found just under the halfway point, as they’re fairly loud.

“Overall, the Aldi earphones were easy to set up and use, were comfortable and performed well. The audio was great quality, and for the price, they’re a brilliant alternative to the Apple AirPods.”

The Maginon In-Ear Wireless Earphones are currently available to buy online at Aldi for £19.99.
