Aldi shoppers rave over £4 lip oil product that's "identical" to £32 Dior version

Makeup fans have been racing to their nearest Aldi store in hopes of getting their hands on the budget supermarket's latest beauty offering. As part of its Lacura range, Aldi has launched a new Luminous Lip Oil, which many claim is "identical" to Dior's own Lip Glow Oils - but for a fraction of the price.

Fans have taken to social media, including TikTok and Facebook, to express their awe after trying out the new 'dupe' themselves. On popular Facebook group, Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, Aldi customer, Greta Zidonyte, shared an image of the budget lip product and it's more expensive counterpart next to each other.

She told fellow group members: "Aldi has lip oil and its identical to Dior, just loving it." Izabela Cobaj asked: "Is is similar to Dior? Colour?," to which Greta replied: "Yes, Aldi has cherry and clear one.

"So I use Dior cherry and its exactly the same as Dior, even the brush is the same shape," she added: "Its 3.99, worth a try." Sophie also quizzed: "Does it feel the same as Dior?" Greta commented: " Yes, not drying lips and feel so Juicy."

Chetna Solanki typed: "My daughter loves it." Lynne Etchells revealed: "Bought it today. Perfect!!" Mica Self tagged a friend and said: "We have to get some!!!!"

However, it would seem the Lacura lip oil is that popular some shoppers are finding it hard to buy themselves one. Hilary Bowering put: "My Aldi never has any good makeup in." Ann Thomas echoed: "Our Aldi never has anything in."

The budget supermarket chain's own brand range of beauty and skincare products, named Lacura, has become quite iconic for its collection of makeup, perfumes and other items that bear similarity to high end brands such as Jo Malone, Dior, Nars, Marc Jacobs and more.

In stores from June 22, the new "must-have" is specially formulated with Vitamin E and a host of antioxidants, which Aldi claims "moisturises and nourishes lips, while leaving them enhanced and full of shine". The lip oil is available in two variants - 'Clear' or 'Cherry'.

Priced at just £3.99 each, shoppers could save £28.01 in stores compared to Dior’s £32 version, which has been hailed by celebrities like Bella Hadid and Emily Alyn. On TikTok, the 'dupe' has also garnered plenty of attention, with the hashtag ' DiorAldiLipOil ' getting a whopping 875.8million views.

Sharing footage of the £4 oil on shelves, TikToker Chirstyharkins wrote: "Aldi with another fab dupe." Rachieb2311 also urged viewers: "Run, don't walk to Aldi, they've gone and done it again with a beautiful lip oil dupe for the Dior lip glow oil!"

Lifestylewlydia asked: "How do they get away with this this is so good." Louiseholt1 posted a video of what the lip oil looks on, writing: "let's try the Aldi dupe door lip oil, it's absolutely lush."
