Aldi shoppers have been rushing to buy a kitchen gadget that pays for itself after making just five hot beverages. And some even say they haven’t purchased a takeaway coffee since.
The budget supermarket recently reduced the price of their Ambiano Milk Frother & Heater from £19.99 to £ 14.99 in a Black Friday sale - saving shoppers 25 per cent.
The affordable appliance comes in around £80 cheaper than the Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser, and while Aldi’s product isn’t exactly the same, customers have loved making hot chocolate and coffee with the device.

The nifty bit of kit promises to create ‘professional standard beverages’ at home by heating or frothing milk at the touch of a button.
The froth functionality can be used to create up to 100ml both warm or cold froth to suit your desired drink. Plus, with its non-stick coating you can clean with ease ready for your next brew.
With the price of a large takeaway coffee costing between £3 and £4 at the usual haunts, the machine will have paid for itself within five drinks - six at the very most. It means shoppers could save a fortune on drinks to-go, with some claiming that’s the reason they bought it in the first place.
One shopper said: “It’s fabulous. Does the perfect hot chocolate at a fraction of the competitors!”
Another added: “I bought this to make quick lattes at work (and wean myself off an expensive Caffe Nero habit!). It's been great: it's fast, safe and easy to clean, for a very good price.”
“Two of my friends already have this,” said a third. “I've been jealously hoping to find it in my Aldi's centre aisle. With online shop and delivery option, hope no more! I bought this a few weeks ago and I haven't bought takeaway coffee out since. It's a fraction of the price of other heater-frothers and the warranty period is very reassuring.”
Meanwhile, a fourth commented: “Having just had our third replacement milk frother, from the brand leader, pack up on us we bought this instead. Not wanting to part with £90 we opted for this frother, Impressed to say the least, it’s excellent value and really works, in fact it’s quicker than our previous one.”
