Savvy beauty fans are rushing to their nearest Aldi store after finding out about two new designer fragrance 'dupes' that are over £500 cheaper than the real deal.
The budget supermarket chain's Hotel Collection Eau de Toilettes have become quite iconic for their range of perfumes that bear similarity to high end brands such as Jo Malone, Dior, Viktor Rolf, Marc Jacobs and more.
Now, the collection is taking aim at the Tom Ford brand with two new opulent fragrances that are priced at just £5 and said to "smell exactly the same" as the designer make that would set you back over £200 each.
Priced at just £4.99 each, Aldi's luxurious new fragrances are perfect for bargain hunters, as they will save you around £205 with each purchase.
The Hotel Collection Tobacco & Vanilla Eau De Parfum, which boasts notes of tobacco leaf, spice and vanilla, is said to be a 'dupe' of Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille fragrance that is worth a whopping £210 at John Lewis for just 50ml and £255 for 100ml at LOOKFANTASTIC.
Meanwhile, the Hotel Collection Sandalwood & Jasmine Eau De Parfum boasts notes of caraway, cinnamon, jasmine and rose, all while being similar to Tom Ford's Santal Blush fragrance. The designer version would set you back £490 House of Fraser for a 250ml bottle and a whopping £536 for a bigger 250ml bottle from Selfridges.
The latest perfumes from Aldi have already gone viral on TikTok as shoppers scramble to their nearest stores to get their hands on them, because, as with all Specialbuys, once they are gone, they really are gone.
One shopper, known as @bethwainwrightt, shared the designer fragrance 'dupes' on the video sharing platform in a post that read: "Tom Ford perfume dupes in Aldi - smell exact #aldi #aldifinds #aldidupe #aldidupes #dupes."
Nearly 60,000 impressed shoppers have liked the video, with hundreds flocking to the comments to praise the budget perfumes for smelling "exactly the same as the real thing."
"I got these today they smell like the real thing powerful I don’t know how they get away with it 10/10", raved one shopper.
"The sandalwood & jasmine Tom Ford dupe smells unreal they had the full collection in my local Aldi", exclaimed a second.
"RUNNINGGGG", wrote a third.
"Not me spending hundreds of £ on tom ford to find out aldi are doing DUPES", wrote a fourth.
"I bought two today. OMG they’re amazing!! And only £4.99!", added a fifth.
