Aldi shopper shares 'great' hack that stops her overspending at supermarket

As food prices continue to rise, shoppers are looking for any way to cut costs and reduce grocery bills.

But no matter how hard some may try to stick to a shopping list, those who walk into a supermarket prepared may still find themselves filling their trolleys with extra items, resulting in a bloated receipt.

If you're looking to save money on your food shop but cant resist temptation, one thrifty mum has shared her tip that keeps her from spending over her "tight budget" when grocery shopping at Aldi.

Mum Nikki O'Gorman, who regularly shares food and shopping content on TikTok, recently explained how she gets for an Aldi shop the day before, and it really couldn't be easier. By using an online service offered by the supermarket, she is able to stay within her spending limits, the Mirror reports.

Sharing a clip on her profile @blehnikki, Nikki told her followers: "If you're like me and you're on a tight budget and you shop in Aldi, I just have a really handy tip that I always do the night before I do my food shop."

Nikki then demonstrated how she heads to the 'Click & Collect' section on the Aldi website, which brings shoppers to the groceries page. Here, you can look up any items you're planning on buying, and can check out exact prices.

She continued: "I always make an exact shopping list on my phone in my notes so I know exactly what I need to buy."

After figuring out the prices of each of the items she needs, Nikki then adds these to her shopping list, making sure she can factor the shop into her budget, without overspending.

According to Nikki, who says you can do the same at any shop with a Click & Collect option, this is a really useful tool for making sure you get 'the exact amount of everything that you're buying before you go in'.

Nikki's followers were impressed by the tip and rushed to the comments section to sing her praises.

One person applauded: "Aww thank you for that. You don't know how many times I'm going for a few things and end up with a £70/80 bill

Another declared that it was a 'great idea'.
