Supermarket chain Aldi has treated fans of all things Christmas to a festive treat by sharing a new milkshake recipe with shoppers. The retailer shared its new Mince Pie Milkshake with fans on its social media pages recently - and there was a mixed response from some.
The retailer also shared details on the recipe and how to recreate it at home. An Instagram post about the milkshakes has attracted almost 6,000 likes.
A spokesperson for the retailer said: "Have we gone too far with this Mince Pie Milkshake? Nah, didn’t think so."

Many fans reacted to the post enthusiastically with emojis and messages welcoming the sweet treat. One said: "mmmm sounds good."
While another posted: "Aldi are so so good." And another fan suggested it as being ideal for Boxing Day. However, some weren't too sure with one fan replying: "Not sure how I feel about this."

Ingredients
Full Fat Milk
3 Deep Filled Mince Pies
2 large Scoops Vanilla Ice Cream
½ tsp Mixed Spice
Squirty Cream
Method
Carefully remove the tops from 2 of the mince pies and put to one side.
Break up the rest of the mince pies and put into a liquidiser along with the milk, ice cream and mixed spice.
Blitz until smooth.
Pour into 2 chilled sundae glasses and top with squirty cream.
Decorate with the tops of the mince pies, sprinkle a little mixed spice on top and serve.
