ALDI's New Bird Feeders Bring a Touch of Whimsy to Your Yard – They Double as Décor, and are Guaranteed to Sell Out

Bird perching on wooden house-shaped bird feeder.

If you're hoping to transform your backyard into a wildlife haven this spring, you might be on the market for a bird feeder – and the choices are practically endless. When it comes to my own yard, however, it's taken me a while to settle on the perfect addition.

Bird feeders are, by nature, a practical purchase, but that doesn't mean they can't look stylish. I've been hunting for something that checks both boxes, and I've stumbled across a particularly charming buy: ALDI's new Belavi bird feeders.

It's safe to say that these aren't a traditional way to feed birds; instead, each one is shaped like a miniature garden chair. You can choose between a bench, a picnic table, or a rocking chair – and at less than $10 each, these whimsical bird feeders are guaranteed to fly off the shelves.

Why Are ALDI's New Bird Feeders So Popular?

In my hunt for a picture-perfect bird feeder, I've collated quite the wish list – from Amazon's retro bird feeders to Walmart's multicolor glass feeder. When I spotted ALDI's, however, I knew they would be a hit.

Simple but utterly charming, these wooden bird feeders instantly create that romantic cottage garden look – without breaking the bank.

Each of the bird feeders is fitted with a steel drainage grate to keep seeds fresh. (I like to use black oil sunflower seeds, which you can pick up from Amazon.)

It's worth noting that the feeders aren't enormous, but they still provide a few essential perching spots, and they are complete with twine and a metal loop to help you hang them from a branch or bird feeder pole (which you can also find at Amazon).

Take one look at these rustic bird feeders and you'll understand why they're currently going viral. There's something magical about a garden bursting into bloom come springtime, and there's no better way to make your space even more joyful than with a few dollhouse-inspired additions like these.

I have a real soft spot for the rocking chair-shaped feeder – I can't resist a touch of nostalgia, after all – but both the bench and picnic table are equally as delightful.

It might not be garden party season just yet, but I know that guests will be instantly won over by these bird feeders; they're so quaint that they double as decor. (ALDI's new rain chain has the same effect, and it's just as affordable.)

Admittedly, bird feeders like these can end up being slightly less practical; it can be difficult, for example, to keep squirrels away from some bird feeders, and ALDI's feeders feature an open tray that could be vulnerable to pests.

You can, however, add a squirrel baffle (like this one from Walmart) above your feeder or pole – plus, hanging feeders will be tougher for squirrels to access.

Of course, bird feeders aren't the only consideration if you're looking to create a buzzing wildlife garden. In fact, bird bath ideas are just as important – I'm a huge fan of Amazon's solar bird bath fountain, and I'd say it definitely brings that fairytale feel to my yard.

There is also planting to consider: while bird baths and feeders can provide a decorative touch, you can prioritize plants for birds, or pick some particularly pretty plants to grow around your bird feeder.

Ultimately, there's a host of ways to attract birds to your yard this spring – but there's no harm in picking something that adds a dash of magic, too.

Shop More Bird Feeders

It's worth considering where to place a bird feeder once you've purchased one – quiet, sheltered spots are best, but the feeder still needs to be accessible to as many birds as possible.
