Aldi's Kevin the Carrot Jubilee collection selling for £100 on eBay and people are not happy

The Queen's Jubilee is almost here and with just days until the big event, the countdown is on.

However whilst many are preparing to celebrate the Queen by getting food and drinks ordered, others are trying to purchase a different type of food product related to the Jubilee.

Yes, Aldi have launched a Kevin the Carrot Jubilee specialbuy and as predicted, people are going wild over it.

The bargain supermarket are now selling a new range of toys which includes a patriotic version of the vegetable alongside a host of other royal family characters with prices starting at £3.99 whilst the Royal Family and Kevin and Friends collection is selling at a RRP of £15.95.

Because of it's popularity, and as reported by the Daily Record, Aldi shoppers have been left less than impressed after its brand new Kevin the Carrot collection toys sold out and are now appearing on eBay for almost £100.

It's the first time Kevin and friends have been sold outside of the Christmas period following his introduction back in 2016 with the toys going on sale online on May 22.

According to the Daily Record, when they visited the marketplace they found that there were quite a few royal Jubilee themed Kevin plush toys already on sale including the bundle of Kevin The Carrot Jubilee plush toys which were being sold for a whopping £39.99 - more than double what Aldi have it retailing as.

The pair of Corgi plush toys that retailed at just £3.99 each are being sold as a duo for a whopping £34.99, and a Queen, Prince Charles and Corgi bundle are being sold for almost £50.

They also found the full two bundles of Kevin and Friends and The Royal Family being auctioned off for a whopping £99.99.

Many fuming shoppers took to the Extreme Couponing Group UK Facebook page to vent their frustration at how quickly the limited-edition collection sold out.

One shopper fumed: "Really wanted a set with the dogs for my little girls birthday as it’s on 2nd June. I tried to get well before 8 this morning but couldn’t and sold out by 8.05. They were on eBay for £40 + straight away."

A second raged: "Sold out online, people bought and selling on eBay for loads more. Should be some way of stopping them. I wanted for granddaughter and a friend at work all week so no chance of buying in store."

"Tried to order these on line this morning at 8.15 and guess what…SOLD OUT!!", fumed a third.

"That was insane. I went on at 7.50 , 4500 in the queue. They are now on eBay, highest for a set is 80 quid, unreal!", said a fourth disappointed shopper.

While a fifth fumed: "And already on eBay at more than what they are."

However, not all hope is lost for Kevin fans, as Aldi have said that shoppers can purchase individual members of the new patriotic collection in-stores from tomorrow (May 26).

As usual, shoppers will want to be quick if they want to get their hands on the exclusive limited-edition collection for any Jubilee parties they have planned.
