Aldi's £2 Lacura Bubble Sheet mask made me look like a monster

Korean inspired beauty is very on-trend at the moment, and Aldi has definitely picked up on this.

Its beauty brand Lacura has already released an array of cruelty-free beauty products, with pampering face masks being one of them.

Priced at £2.49 and available in store only, the Lacura Bubble Sheet is said to contain a special bamboo charcoal formula to target deeper areas.

As well as reduce the appearance of tired looking skin, it’s also meant to encourage hydration and ‘treat your skin’.

I picked up the bubble sheet in store for a pamper evening and was surprised at just how ‘bubbly’ it actually was.

After getting the mask out of the packet, I struggled to place it on my face without it slipping off.

Eventually, it stuck, and that’s when the bubbles started to appear.

It was such a strange sensation, almost like popping candy on my face, and they just kept on coming.

I’d never used or even heard of a 'bubble sheet' before, so had no idea about the extent of bubbles.

As more and more bubbles formed, the mask got even more slippery, to the point where I was trying to stop bubbles from getting in my mouth.

Despite the bubbly mess, after leaving it on for three to four minutes I took it off and massaged the bubbles into my face.

I then rinsed my face with a hot cloth and my skin did feel a lot smoother and hydrated.

The verdict

Once you get past the terrifying looking mask, it was actually quite a fun pampering activity.

Forget your bog standard facemasks, the Lacura bubble sheet mask was a messy yet rewarding pamper.

I’ll be giving this mask a 3/5, despite the bubble overload it made my skin feel smooth and plump.
