Supermarket giant Aldi has found itself in hot water with some Marks and Spencer (M&S) shoppers after taking an 'out of the blue dig' at the retailer on social media. Aldi has previously mocked retailers like Tesco and Lidl on its social media platforms, but has a longstanding 'feud' with M&S following two seperate legal cases.
Aldi was originally taken to court by M&S after it was accused of 'copying' the iconic Colin the Caterpillar cake with its own Cuthbert version. In December 2021, M&S sued Aldi again - this time accusing it of 'copying' its light-up Christmas gin globes.
Following these court cases, Aldi has been known to take aim at M&S, seemingly in a lighthearted manner, on its social media channels. Now Aldi has struck again.
