Aldi have commented on whether they'll ever open a store in Northern Ireland.
It comes as they've been named UK's cheapest supermarket in March by Which?.
An Aldi spokesperson said: “We continually review our store opening strategy and future expansion plans, although we have no immediate plans to open stores in Northern Ireland at this time."

The monthly price comparison by the consumer champion found Aldi was the cheapest overall UK supermarket in March 2023.
The Which? study found a basket of 41 items cost £72.54 on average at Aldi.
Lidl came in second on the list with a difference of just 25p., with a same shop coming in at £72.79.
Sainsbury's basket came in at £80.27, Tesco at £81.58, and Asda at £81.88.
Although not in NI, Waitrose came in at £92.55. You can find the full list HERE.
Mirror report Julie Ashfield, managing director of buying at Aldi, said: “Now, more than ever, our focus remains on keeping prices low and quality high.
“This is the tenth month in a row we have been named as the UK’s cheapest supermarket, and we couldn’t be more delighted.
“In the face of an ongoing cost-of-living crisis, we’re proud that our customers can save over £20 on basket spend by shopping with Aldi.”
Which? also compared the cost of a larger trolley of 137 items – the original 41, plus 96 more.
Aldi and Lidl are never included in the bigger comparison because they don’t always sell a full range of branded items, Mirror Online report.
Which? said: "Every month, we compare how much the UK's biggest supermarkets charge for a trolley of groceries, including everything from bread to toothpaste."
This comparison included a larger number of branded items, such as Andrex toilet paper and Cathedral City cheese, the Mirror also reported.
Which? added: "Asda came out cheapest for this trolley of groceries, continuing its streak, which started in January 2020, as the cheapest traditional supermarket. It cost £343.91, on average, for our big trolley shop, beating the next cheapest supermarket Sainsbury's (£353.16) by £9.25."
