Aldi, Lidl and Tesco warn customers not to drink certain lager or Irn Bru

There have been a number of product recalls recently: Chicken at Pret, Aldi and others as well as chocolate from Kinder. Now Lidl, Aldi and Tesco, along with other supermarkets, have added beer and Irn Bru to the list.

The recalls relate to certain batches of products so don't panic and throw everything out, check the use by or best before date and if it is listed in the recall, simple return the item to the shop you purchased it from and request a refund. You don't need a receipt.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) is the Government department responsible for protecting public health in relation to food in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. It says if you have one of the items, do not eat or drink the product, simply return it to store.
