Wine always tastes better when it’s free, right? And budget supermarket Aldi is giving away bottles to dozens of shoppers next month - in return for their opinion.
The German retailers are on the hunt for thirty budding wine enthusiasts to trial, test and review its brand-new range of supermarket wines as part of its Aldi Wine Club.
Successful applicants will receive three bottles from Aldi’s award-winning range which will need to be tested, reviewed, and consumed over a six-week period.

Those taking part will need to share their thoughts on Instagram and Twitter, using the dedicated hashtag #AldiWineClub. Aldi will also supply its handpicked wine testers with a selection of tasting notes from Mistress of Wine and face of the Aldi Wine School, Sam Caporn, plus tips on how to expertly taste-test the wine.
And there are some top tips to help you carry out the important task, including keeping the wine somewhere that has a fairly constant, cool temperature, as big temperature fluctuations are bad for the wine.
Smelling the wine is also encouraged when wine tasting as it releases the aromas and helps the tester to identify the different flavours that the tongue might not pick up.
To be in with a chance of landing the role, all budding tasters need to do is send an email to aldiwineclub@clarioncomms.co.uk with their full name, proof of age, the name of your social media handles and number of followers for each account, 150 words explaining why you think you should be selected as part of Aldi's Wine Club and an answer to the question - what is your favourite Aldi wine and why?
Entries are now open until Monday, March 13. To enter and view the full terms and conditions, visit the Aldi Wine Club page on its website.
