Aldi's beloved Kevin the Carrot has been giving a royal makeover ahead of the King's Coronation and shoppers are going absolutely wild for it.
Dropping in-stores this morning, Aldi revealed its own King and Queen of veg will be taking part in the festivities with two new patriotic plushes. It is only the second time Kevin soft toys have been sold outside of Christmas, following the Queen's Jubilee last year.
Priced at just £3.99 each, shoppers can nab a King Kevin that has been kitted out in his own royal outfit. He is accompanied by his own Queen of the Veg that is dressed in an iconic nude dress and blue sash.
The royal soft toy duo are officially available to buy as part of the retailer's iconic Specialbuys aisle, also known as the "middle aisle." As Kevin the Carrot has caused mayhem in the past, we would advise rushing to stores as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
Previous years has seen dedicated shoppers flocking to stores and the Aldi website in a bid to get their hands on the coveted plush toys.
They were once again sent wild for the new £3.99 King and Queen duo after they were shared to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Group on Facebook.
Sharing the patriotic toys online, the group wrote: "Kevin The Carrot Queen & King Coronation Plushes Available From Aldi On Thursday 20th April."
The post was quickly a hit with thousands of dedicated Kevin fans who couldn't wait to expand their collection. One fan wrote: "I need these to go with my collection xx."
While a second enthusiastically said: "These are so cute xx."
A third tagged their friend and gushed: "You excited for these to come to our house!!?"
While a fourth exclaimed: "Got mine this morning… going fast!"
A fifth commented: "Aww. It’s our Kevin ready for the Coronation with his wife. Bless."
The King and Queen Kevin the Carrot plush toys are priced at £3.99 and available to buy in-store only. As with all Specialbuys, you may want to be quick, as they sell out fast.
