Aldi has been named the cheapest UK supermarket this Easter holiday according to Which?.
The consumer watchdog compared the price of an average basket including everyday essentials between different stores, and Aldi was found to be over a pound cheaper than second place.
Included in the baskets were products such as milk, eggs and bread, as well as ingredients required for healthy kids meals.

The price of the Aldi basked was £24.49, followed by the Lidl basket which cost £25.55, with Asda's £28.64 basket placing third.
Tesco, Sainsbury's, Morrisons, Ocado, and Waitrose followed behind, with basket prices of £29.05, £31.13, £32.11, £34.51, and £37.59 respectively.

With a difference of more than £13, shoppers heading to Waitrose this Easter holiday will be paying around 54% extra for similar products.
The comparison was based on a basket of 21 items in the two weeks before April 4.
