A nationwide search has been launched to find the next Chief Easter Egg Tasting Officer Aldi, and if you are a chocoholic, this could be the job for you.
Three lucky applicants will get the job of a lifetime with Aldi and will be able to hone their tasting skills as they get a chance to receive and review Aldi’s range of Easter eggs.
New recruits will be asked to share their thoughts on taste, texture, and appearance, and most importantly, winners’ insights will impact the selection across Irish stores for 2024.

The role is open to applicants of all ages, with just one prerequisite. You must love sweet treats, have thoughtful taste buds and love exciting new flavours.
Candidates will need to create a short one-minute-long audition video, recorded on a smartphone and submit it to easteregg@aldi.ie explaining why they should be chosen for the job.
In the video, entrants should include examples of their favourite Aldi chocolate and any other sweet tales that may help them pip others to the post.
The deadline for entries is March 15 with successful applicants receiving their products to sample from March 20.
Aldi has a range of chocolate on offer this year that even if you don’t get the job, you can still try.
Some items for sale that the lucky tasters will try include an Easter-themed Chocolate Gonk €0.79, filled with a deliciously rich cream filling. New to Aldi this year, check out the Easter slab €3.49 and Mini Egg Chunky Bar €3.79, silky milk chocolate packed with whole eggs.
