Two of the UK's largest supermarkets have issued urgent warnings to customers who may have recently purchased fruit and vegetables from their stores
Aldi and Tesco are in-turn urging people to take extra care and precautions when consuming fruit and vegetables by washing prior, after fears that the goods may have been contaminated by a dust cloud from the Saharan desert - The Manchester Evening News reports.
Earlier this month, Spanish authorities reported 'extremely poor air quality ratings' for a large band of the country, following a mass of hot air from the Sahara dumped dust after passing over the Mediterranean sea.
