Albion Rovers boss Brian Reid has slammed the display of referee Calum Scott after he awarded Cowdenbeath a controversial penalty - and refused to award his side one for the same thing.
And raging Reid pointed to the fact that Cowden's Craig Barr needed his hand strapped up as clear evidence the player handled the ball in the box.
It was a tale of two penalty claims at Cliftonhill as Rovers midfielder Charlie Reilly was penalised for a handball in the box after eight minutes, which Fraser Mullen converted, and then before the break Barr handled a strike from Josh Jack inside the box but nothing was given.
Reid says Barr appeared for the second half with a bandage on his hand, which only infuriated him more as his side were unable to take something from the game, despite the Blue Brazil being reduced to 10 men for the final nine minutes after Kyle Miller's red card.
Reid fumed: "The red card didn't make much of a difference because it came so late on.
"The biggest disappointment in the game was the referee giving the softest penalty you'll see.
"How many times are we going to get penalties against us?
"We had one claim where it hit Craig Barr on the hand and it hit him on the hand so blatantly he came out for the second half with his hand in a bandage!
"It was blatantly obvious what happened at the time but the referee doesn't give it.
"Cowdenbeath couldn't believe their luck.
"I tried to talk to the referee and ask him about it but he didn't want to talk to me.
"It was the exact same situation that the referee gave a penalty against us for when the ball hit Charlie Reilly's hand.
"Charlie's hands are down by the side of his body and the ball has hit him from three yards away - you can't be giving a penalty for that.
"It's just a ridiculous decision and that was the only thing between us in the game.
"Our goalkeeper never had a save to make. We never created much either, but the difference is the penalty, which is never a penalty.
"And the thing is, if the referee wants to be consistent he's got to give us a penalty if he's giving them one for that.
"The referee is in a good position and there's four or five boys screaming at him for a penalty and he doesn't give it.
"It's just the consistency you are looking for and I'm fed up talking about referees every week."
The result saw bottom of the table Cowdenbeath close the gap on ninth-place Rovers to six points, having played a game more, but the hosts did have some good news as they welcomed back striker Kyle Doherty from injury.
Such is the nature of League Two this term, Rovers remain just seven points off the promotion play-off spot with a game in hand, but Reid was clearly winded by the dropped points.
He added: "The worst case scenario on Saturday should have been us walking away with a point.
"That's the worst I've ever felt after a game.
"You could hear from our crowd at half-time what they thought of the referee's performance.
"It's not just me. Everybody else can see what's going on. We can't keep having this because it's costing us points.
"The referee needs to have a long, hard look at this because it's not good enough.
"Every week we get decisions like that going against us.
"It would be nice for the pendulum to swing back the other way because we don't seem to get many dubious decisions.
"In fact, we don't get any. I can't remember a time we've had a soft penalty given for us. And it's costing us big time.
"I don't mind referees making mistakes now and then, but it's happening every week.
"If you look at the penalties against us this season, it's mind blowing.
"Nearly every week we are getting ones against us.
"Cammie Binnie has faced at least 10 penalties this season and I'd be hard-pushed to say one of them was a stonewaller."
Rovers now face a tough task when they head to second-place Forfar on Saturday.
