North Melbourne has made changes to its football department in preparation for life under four-time premiership coach Alastair Clarkson.
The Kangaroos announced general manager of football performance Dan McPherson will leave the club, as will assistant coaches Heath Younie and Anthony Rocca.
Former Melbourne captain Todd Viney — who worked as an assistant coach to Clarkson at Hawthorn — has been appointed general manager of football.
The changes come less than a week after Clarkson was unveiled as Kangaroos coach for the next five seasons.
He will officially begin at Arden Street on November 1.
"Todd is a widely respected figure of the game with great football nous, and he will be a huge asset to our club," Kangaroos chief executive Ben Amarfio said in a statement.
"Todd's vast experience in a range of football roles has given him an understanding of all aspects of the game.
"We look forward to him leading our football program and working alongside Alastair."
Viney was on Clarkson's coaching staff at the Hawks between 2005 and 2008, helping the club win a premiership in his final year.
He also served in various off-field roles with Melbourne and Adelaide.
The Kangaroos confirmed Brady Rawlings will continue with his role leading the club's recruiting and list management team.
