In a shocking turn of events, an Alaska Airlines flight was forced to make an emergency landing when a window unexpectedly blew out mid-flight. The flight, which was enroute from Portland, Oregon to Ontario, California, encountered the terrifying incident in the 26th row of the aircraft, specifically affecting seats 26A, 26B, and 26C.
Remarkably, no passengers were seated in the window seat at the time, which is usually considered an emergency exit spot on the 737 MAX 9 aircraft. However, on this particular flight, the window was sealed with a plug instead. The incident occurred shortly after reaching an altitude of 16,000 feet, merely seven minutes into the flight, well below its planned cruising altitude of 33,000 feet.
