Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer praised Manchester United star Marcus Rashford for his involvement in both of the Reds' goals in the 2-1 victory over City.
After a goalless first half which United perhaps shaded on chances, Pep Guardiola's visitors rallied and took the lead on the hour mark. Substitute Jack Grealish nodded home from close range to give the Blues a deserved lead.
However, 18 minutes later the game turned on its head. A through ball from Casemiro was initially aimed for Rashford who was in an offside position.

Rashford opted to leave the ball for his teammate Bruno Fernandes who buried the chance. City's players rushed over to the officials and protested against the awarding of the goal but the strike was allowed to stand after a VAR intervention
Following the incident, Match of the Day pundit Shearer tweeted: "Very clever Marcus Rashford for Bruno to score 1-1." This led to a debate between the former striker and ex-Notts County owner Alan Hardy who had claimed that the goal should have been disallowed.
The conversation between the pair appeared to conclude with an agreement that the new rules meant that Rashford was onside, even if they did not agree with them being enforced.
Four minutes later and the match was firmly in United's favour. A smart cross from Alejandro Garnacho picked out Rashford in the middle of the goal to send Old Trafford into raptures.
Reacting to the strike, Shearer posted: "Wow. Great finish Marcus Rashford he's on fire. 2-1."
United would hold on for the vital victory which continues to boost the confidence of Erik ten Hag's side. The Reds now sit one point behind City in third having leapfrogged Newcastle who play on Sunday.
