Alan Cumming has issued a warning to fans after numerous fake social media profiles impersonated him.
The X-Men actor shared a screenshot on Instagram with a series of fake social media accounts impersonating the star. The 59-year-old wrote: "These are all fake accounts! I am only ever @alancummingreally."
The post showed accounts with usernames @alan.cumming.private, @iam_alan_cumming, and @private_alan_cumming_ all impersonating the actor. While one account had no followers, another had over 1,167 followers.
This comes after the Scots actors next exciting project was announced for the new year.
Taking inspiration from the hit BBC reality show The Traitors which was hosted by Claudia Winkleman, the My Old School actor will be hosting the US version streaming on Peacock+.
Despite being a stateside version of the show, the series was also filmed in Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands. Cumming will host as the celebrities battle it out for the $250,000 prize fund.
The reality stars and celebrity contestants competing are: The Bachelor's Arie Luyendyk Jr, Real Housewives star Brandi Glanville, Survivor's Cirie Fields, Below Deck's Kate Chastain, Olympian Ryan Lochte and Big Brother alumni's Cody Calafiore and Rachel Reilley alongside many more.
