Alan Brazil issued a bizarre claim that Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers could be in line to become the next West Ham head coach live on-air this morning.
Seconds later though, the former Scotland international debunked his own theory.
Rodgers previously left Celtic mid-season to join Leicester City in 2019, which sparked huge controversy among the Hoops support.
However, after rebuilding burnt bridges, Rodgers made his return to the hotseat at Parkhead in the summer of 2023, as he replaced Ange Postecoglou.
The Northern Irishman has Celtic flying at the top of the Scottish Premiership alongside Aberdeen.
As well as booking their place in the Scottish League Cup final against Rangers, the champions have a distinct possibility of progressing into the knockouts of the Champions League.
Naturally, prolonged success at Celtic will see Rodgers linked with other opportunities.
But even then, it seems highly unlikely he'd leave mid-campaign again.
That didn't stop Brazil from mentioning Rodgers in the same breath as West Ham, who are currently managed by Julen Lopetegui.
Brazil said on talkSPORT this morning: “Someone sent me a text last night saying Brendan (Rodgers) for West Ham… What? Brendan Rodgers? He can’t leave, not with how Celtic are playing."

Gabby Agbonlahor replied: “Not with how Celtic are playing in the Champions League. They have a chance of reaching the play-offs so he’s going nowhere.
“I don’t think they’ll sack Lopetegui yet though. I think they’ll give him more time.”
Brazil added: “I don’t know if it’s just my mate winding me up because he is a Celtic fan or he’s heard something."
