Major Celtic fan Alan Brazil joked his desire to see Rangers come up short in Europe stretches back 30 years.
The broadcaster loves nothing more than sparring with his Ibrox mate Ally McCoist and was put on the spot over whether or not he has ever roared on the Light Blues during their continental adventures through the years. The 63–year–old is adamant Rangers' stirring run to Seville didn't move him and told listeners across Britain he is willing to take extra steps to cheers on the opposition.
When asked if he was roaring on the Gers, the answer was emphatic. Speaking to talkSPORT, he said: "You know the answer, you know the answer – I've still got a Leeds United scarf from (the Battle of Britain) all those years ago." And a giggling McCoist was quick to offer some support for his mate by admitting both he and Brazil follow a strict code when it comes to following clubs across Britain when they are taking on Europe's finest.
The Rangers icon said: "Big Al and I are completely unbiased. We want all the British teams to do well – except I don't want Celtic to do well and he doesn't want Rangers to do well. So that's quite fair, isn't it?"
