TikTok personality Amy Dianne Elmore Downs has been charged with fraud after taking in donations for a charity that did not exist.

Downs, known on TikTok as Slot_7.0 or the Slotmachinequeein, solicited donations for a "charity" to help domestic violence victims and homeless individuals. Police say it was all a lie and that Downs, 57, of Athens, Alabama, kept the money for herself.

A Limestone County Sheriff's Office investigation led Downs to be charged with seven counts of charitable fraud and three counts of tax evasion, according to a the Sheriff.

Downs has not reported any form of employment since 2020, yet since 2021, she deposited nearly $1 million in her bank accounts.

Police say Downs used her social media presence to ask her followers for donations using PayPal, CashApp, and Venmo accounts. She received contributions from people throughout the country and internationally.

Downs' bond has been set at $1,125,000. The investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges may be forthcoming. The sheriff's office has asked that anyone with information about potential fraudulent activity involving Downs come forward. If you believe you may have been a victim or have relevant information, please email the Criminal Investigation Division at: CIDinvestigation@limestonesheriff.com

Police have asked people to include their full name, phone number, and a brief summary.
