Ajax have sent an emotional 'thank you' message and video to Erik ten Hag following his final game in charge of the club ahead of moving to Manchester United.
The 52-year-old took charge of Ajax for the final time on Sunday afternoon as they played out a 2-2 draw with Vitesse Arnhem in their final game of the season. Despite taking an early lead through the in-form Brian Brobbey, the recently crowned Eredivisie champions required an 87th-minute equaliser from Edson Alvarez to ensure Ten Hag avoided a defeat in his final game in charge.
The Dutchman, who took charge at the Johan Cruyff Arena in December 2017, enjoyed no shortage of success during his time in charge of the Amsterdam giants, leading them to six trophies, including three league titles. He will now be hoping for similar results at Old Trafford, but he has many challenges and hurdles to overcome before he can think about that.
