'Things changed': indoor sports venue crisis hits huge pricing surge

A whopping 250 per cent jump in venue hire fees has priced out a large community sport from using Canberra's premier indoor sports facility.

Gymnastics ACT wrote to clubs around the capital, informing them that their biggest events of the year, first planned for October, will not be hosted at the AIS Arena as usual due to a "significant" increase in hire fees, and freight and equipment costs.
