Anyone who has travelled abroad by plane will be well-accustomed to buying tiny bottles of toiletries to put in their cabin bags - but that's all set to change within the next 18 months.
The Government has announced that cabin bag rules on liquids and large electronics will be relaxed by June 2024 as new technology is set to be rolled out at UK airports. The limit for liquid containers will be extended to two litres, and holidaymakers will no longer have to spend time taking items out of their bags at the airport.
Currently, plane passengers are required to limit any liquid containers in their hand luggage to 100ml and these must be placed inside a clear plastic bag. Additionally, electronic devices such as laptops and tablets are required to be removed from cabin baggage - a rule that is also set to change by 2024.
