Manchester Airport has shared a Jet2 service that could help passengers miss out on queues. The North-West airport, which is part of the same group as East Midlands Airport, has been plagued with issues in recent weeks.
Staff shortages and long queues at airport security have caused significant issues for travellers at Manchester Airport in recent weeks, and even resulted in holidaymakers missing their flights. While bosses said the hub was 'on the road to recovery', passengers are still being asked to arrive three hours before their flight.
On Thursday (May 19), the airport issued advice to those travelling with Jet2, reports Manchester Evening News. It offered a way for passengers to spend less time queuing on their departure day.

A tweet posted on the airport's account read: "Great news! Twilight check-in is back with @jet2tweets. This fantastic service means you can drop your bags off at the airport the evening before your departure from Manchester Airport."
The service, which is also offered at other airports, means people flying before midday can drop bags off between 3-8pm the day before. This way, when you arrive at departures the next day, you have one thing less to do.
TUI also offers the twilight check-in service. Passengers can drop off bags at the airport between 2pm and 9pm on the day before departure.
Ian Costigan, Interim Managing Director of Manchester Airport, said previously: "We want to make sure that customers get away on their travels, so everyone at Manchester Airport is focused on bringing in the extra resources we need to continue operating our full flight schedule.
"It is encouraging to see new staff joining us as a result of our ongoing recruitment drive, and we have seen security waiting times reduce in recent weeks. The last few weeks have been challenging but the team on the ground has done a great job in getting passengers through security more quickly, and I would like to thank all colleagues for their hard work and dedication.
"As we continue to recover, we are reminding customers to arrive at the airport three hours before their flight and to ensure they are familiar with all security rules. While the majority of people will get through security in less than 30 minutes, customers need to allow time for check-in and the possibility that security queues may be longer at peak times."
