Airplane seats you should avoid on Ryanair, easyJet, BA, Tui and other flights

Many planes and airlines have “bad” seats which people try their best to avoid.

Ryanair’s infamous seat 11A has racked up plenty of complaints over time thanks to the fact that it doesn’t actually have a window. Passengers who have paid extra for a window seat have come away disappointed when faced with the plane wall by their side.

But they aren't the only airline with problems with certain seats. If you fly with easyJet, for example, their windowless seats are at the back of the aircraft rather than in the middle, reported the Daily Star.

Meanwhile, other airlines have poorly rated seats which are too close to toilets or had limited views from the windows. On settling, which lets people rate various aeroplane seats, Ryanair’s Boeing 737-800's seats 33A to F only received one star.

This was because they’re right in front of the loos where people chat - and it can also get a bit smelly on longer flights.

The Telegraph said: “Norwegian’s 737s have the same issue (avoid seats 10A, 11A and 11F), as does American Airlines’ (steer clear of 11A and 11F).

“But if you fly with easyJet, the windowless perches are at the back, rather than in the middle. Seat 31A, to be precise, for those on its A320 aircraft, and seat 26A and 26F on its A319s.”

British Airways A380s apparently have a number of seats with rubbish or limited views from the windows. Both 70A and 70K, in economy will offer little in the way of a window view. This also applies to 12A, 12K, 50A and 50K in Club World.

Luckily, there is an app - SeatGuru - which can help to choose the best seats. It is best to check your seat before paying extra or choosing your position.
