Airdrie's Dylan Easton can't wait to get going against Cove Rangers - but the pressure is all on the League One leaders.
The Diamonds are unbeaten in 14 league matches, but remain in second place and five points off Cove ahead of hosting Paul Hartley's men this Saturday.
Ian Murray's Airdrie prepared for the game by clinching a promotion play-off spot on Saturday, sweeping Queen's Park aside 2-0.
Callum Smith dispatched a nice shot into the bottom corner and Easton added his seventh league goal of the season in brilliant fashion.
Allowed time and space in the box, he half-volleyed with aplomb into the top corner. It's set up to be an exciting battle at the Excelsior Stadium but the playmaker says their visitors will feel the pressure.
Easton said: "We're playing some really good stuff. You wouldn't get two teams who are on such good runs. You usually have the one team who is on this sort of run.
"This Saturday is going to be really exciting. We want to keep winning our games but the pressure is on Cove. They know if they slip up, they need to check over their shoulder and our result.
"It's going to be really exciting, a top of the table clash. We know what we need to do."
The 27-year-old is enjoying his football at the minute in Airdrie, and admits Saturday's strike ranks as one of his finest this term.
Easton added: "Every time I score seems to be a good one at the moment. I am just delighted it hit the back of the net. If I am scoring goals and assisting my teammates, then I am doing my job right.
"Lucky enough for me this one hit the back of the net. I didn't expect it to go quite as far in the top corner as it did!
"We had an overload at the back post and I couldn't see it as the sun was in my eyes. When I saw it sit up in front of me, I just knew if I hit the target it'd go in.
"I am really enjoying my football. With the turnover from part-time to full-time, I knew if I got fully fit I'd have levels to go up. And I still have some to go up."
