Air India will shift its operations at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) from Terminal 4 to the newly built Terminal 6 in 2028, the airline announced on Monday. As part of the move, the carrier will also open its first flagship Maharaja Lounge at the terminal, expanding its premium airport services in North America.
The airline said the shift will bring it closer to several Star Alliance partner airlines operating from Terminal 6, allowing passengers to make same-terminal onward connections across the Americas. The terminal has been selected by 16 international airlines, including Air Canada, Lufthansa, SWISS, ANA, Brussels Airlines and TAP Air Portugal.
