Air India has voluntarily undertaken a testing programme covering all its pilots, going beyond regulatory requirements, as the airline faces heightened scrutiny following the Phuket-Delhi flight incident earlier this month.
The airline, which made the announcement through a clarification tweet on Tuesday, said the programme was undertaken “in line with our unwavering commitment to safety and professionalism”.
