An air fryer from a popular brand is being urgently recalled due to presenting a fire risk.

The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) has issued a product safety notice on the SilverCrest S-18 Oilless Air Fryer sold on the eBay platform, with purchasers being asked to urgently discontinue use and discard the product.

The brand is SilverCrest. The model number is S-18. The batch number and barcode are unknown.

The recall notice reads: "The product presents a risk of fire. The product’s fuse does not meet the requirements of the relevant standard. This means the fuse can fail leading to the plug overheating or igniting."

Due to the product being sold online on eBay, customers in the Republic of Ireland could potentially have purchased one.

"If you purchased one of these products, please discontinue use immediately and discard the product. You may wish to contact the eBay seller to see if there are any remedies available to you. This can be done via your user account on eBay," the notice reads.

A recall has also been issued by the CCPC for the Magic Do – Tiger Zhou Finger Paints sold on the Amazon platform.

"The risk presented by the product is Chemical. The product exceeds the amount of formaldehyde permitted under the standard. Formaldehyde is a skin sensitiser that may trigger allergic reaction," the notice reads.

Approximately 16 people are believed to have purchased this product in the Republic of Ireland and they are being asked to immediately discontinue use, discard the product and keep it out of the reach of children.

The brand is Magic Do – Tiger Zhou. The ASIN numbers are B072MQ3HBX, B06Y61WN7Q and B093KYQLDM. The model number is X001H8MCF3. The batch number and barcode are unknown.

A third product recall issued this week for Irish customers by the CCPC is for Jgstkcity Waterproof Extension Leads sold on the Amazon and eBay platforms, due to a risk of electric shock or fire as a result of misleading information on the product being waterproof.

The product, the CCPC said "allows water ingress."

The brand, model number, barcode and batch numbers are unknown.

Other product identifiers are as follows:

• Jgstkcity Waterproof Extension Lead (Black) – ASIN: B09FG23TBH

• Jgstkcity Waterproof Extension Lead (White) – ASIN: B092QMHGL4

• Waterproof Extension Cord Power Lead 6 Ft Extension Cord 3 Outlet Power Strip – eBay Item Number: 304358041523

There were at least three affected products in the Republic of Ireland sold from the eBay and Amazon platforms.

"If you purchased one of these products, please discontinue use immediately," the advice reads.
