An air ambulance has landed after a man who had suffered serious head injuries was found in a road.
Merseyside Police have confirmed that they are dealing with the ongoing incident after a man in his 30s was found with serious injuries in the Heswall area of Wirral. The force said that they were still establishing the cause of the incident but an air ambulance had touched down to take the man to hospital.
The man was discovered on Milner Road near to the centre of Heswall. Police have confirmed that road closures have now been put in place while the emergency response continues.

Milner Road and Border Road have been closed. A number of other surrounding roads in the area have also been blocked off.
