A man has suffered serious injuries in a crash on Aigburth Road.
Emergency services arrived at the scene, at around 7pm on Friday, June 2, after reports of a crash. At the scene officers found two cars had been involved in the incident.
The road was cordoned off while officers dealt with traffic management and carried out investigations. ECHO reporter Abigail Nicholson arrived at the scene just after an air ambulance was seen flying away from the area.

Several fire engines also attended the scene. Both vehicles had visible damage which could be seen from the cordon.
Merseyside police have now confirmed a man was taken to hospital with a serious injury to his leg. It is not believed to be life threatening.
They also revealed no arrests have been made in connection with the crash.
