A number of residents spotted the air ambulance and a number of armed police in Southwell on Saturday (April 16) morning. Nottinghamshire Police received reports at 7.28am of a medical incident in Chatsworth Avenue.
Armed police were deployed to the scene, and the air ambulance was called out. But both of these deployments were on standby and were not required, as an ambulance and paramedics dealt with the incident.
Police have said the incident was not as first described by callers relating to an injury.
