AIFF revamp I-league with new format

League AIFF the All India Football Federation Football India PANAJI the ILeague

PANAJI: The I-League is expected to have 16 teams this season after the All India Football Federation (AIFF) gave the go-ahead for all five corporate bidders to be provided a direct entry into the I-League.

The I-League, India’s second-tier club competition after the Indian Super League, has 12 teams with champions RoundGlass Punjab FC being promoted to the top tier.
