Aiden Ramsdale found guilty of murdering Bradley Wall after bragging about 'ISIS killing'

Aiden Ramsdale has been found guilty of the murder of Bradley Wall.

Ramsdale, 25, was convicted following a eight-week trial at Leeds Crown Court that saw him, alongside Patrick Mason, 31, accused Bradley's murder.

Jurors found Ramsdale guilty of murder on Monday, January 23, but a court order meant LeedsLive was unable to report this until a separate matter came to an end. Ramadale went on to plead guilty to robbery and the order was lifted. Mr Mason was found not guilty of murder on January 25.

During the trial, the jury heard that the 25-year-old's body was found in the basement area to the front of a property on Fairford Avenue in Beeston on June 23 last year. He had over 100 injuries and a post-mortem found he was either strangled or died from pressure being put on his neck. His body had also been set on fire before paving slabs were put on him.

In his evidence, Ramsdale claimed he and Mr Mason met Mr Wall as they walked on Dewsbury Road and they had gone to the flat in Fairford Avenue. He said a fight had occurred and the victim had attempted to jump from the second-floor window and he tried to save him.

He said: "He went to jump out of the window, like a swimming pool dive." Ramsdale said he tried to grab hold of Mr Wall's ankles but "He was just shouting and swearing, like he said 'f*** off, f*** off.' I was trying to calm him down and told him to come back in and we can talk about it and he was just saying 'f*** off.' I was trying to calm him down and told him to come back in...he just kept kicking his legs." Ramsdale said he "just lost" his grip and Mr Wall fell down to the basement area."

Jurors were shown CCTV footage of a prison visit to Ramsdale by his father Nigel Fallace. During the visit, Ramsdale admitted to the murder and described it as being like an "ISIS killing."

He was also questioned by his father about a phone call he made to him the night of the murder.

During the conversation, Mr Fallace said: "I'm glad I didn't answer because I know what you f****** wanted, for me to get f****** rid of it [the body.]"

During another part of the conversation, Ramsdale could be heard saying: "Grabbed him, f******, he got out, trying to restrain him, punching him, jumped out the window head first. Fell on his head, went down the f****** yard inbetween dead or alive so like got the paving slabs and smashed his head in."

Ramsdale could later be heard telling his dad it "was like an ISIS killing" and said: "F****** big paving slabs like that." He also likened the killing to the film "Snatch" by saying: "I went down, hit him with a brick, he was trying to throw punches. Like that film where the person won't die and they shoot him loads of times. 'Snatch,' it was like that."

Jurors heard he had claimed he had seen indecent imagery of children on Mr Wall's phone.

Mr Fallace could be heard saying during the prison visit: "People online saying 'Rest in peace Bradley' and he's a f****** nonce. I'm going to go on and say 'He's a f****** nonce." He could be heard calling his son a "top lad."

In his evidence, Mr Fallace said he was "humouring" his son who he said "wasn't right at all." Ramsdale will be sentenced today and you can follow the sentencing in our live blog.
