Aiden McGeady has passed a medical that will see him complete a move back to the Premiership with Hibs, according to fresh reports.
The 36-year-old has opted to continue his career after departing Sunderland when they finally ended their stay in England's League One by achieving Championship promotion. He's been searching for a new home since and former Black Cats boss Lee Johnson is set to offer him that chance as he looks for a piece of magic in the final third.
McGeady has agreed terms to join Hibs, according to the Daily Record, ahead of their warm weather training camp in Portugal which comes prior to their Premier Sports Cup campaign versus Clyde. A 'vigorous' medical has been completed by the 93-capped Republic of Ireland international and he will be their latest signing after former Celtic team mate David Marshall, Nohan Kenneh, Momodou Bojang, Rocky Bushiri, Lewis Miller, Jair Tavares and Kyle McClelland.

Exits have beckoned in Hibs though. Matt Macey, David Mitchell and Harry Clarke are amongst those to have departed in the last week.
Since leaving in Celtic, he has been at Spartak Moscow and Everton with EFL stints scattered throughout.
Sheffield Wednesday, Preston North End and Charlton stints have also occurred alongside his Sunderland spell.
Hibs' first competitive match under Johnson against Clyde takes place on July 9th.
