Lee Johnson has delivered an injury update on Aiden McGeady and Kevin Nisbet with the Easter Road boss hopeful of having the former Celtic man 'flying' very soon.
The 36-year-old returned to Scotland to play under his former Sunderland boss following his exit from the Stadium of Light. His old club gained promotion to the English Championship but he departed for a return to the top division north of the border with Hibs. His signing came with a lot of excitement but he aggravated his ligament in a friendly with Norwich City and has since been on the sidelines.
However, he is working hard behind the scenes and has had three sugar injections to stiffen the ligament and make it stronger. Pre-injury McGeady was 'angry' with his form but the positive news coming out of the capital club is that he could be back in action before the World Cup shutdown. Johnson said: "Aiden's had three sugar injections which stiffens the ligament and makes it stronger.
