'No carve-out': Labor clarifies data centre energy deal

The federal energy minister is adamant there is no carve-out for jurisdictions against data centre developers providing their own renewable power under proposed laws.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese had been pushing for mandates for AI data centres to provide their own renewable energy as the use of the technology increases rapidly.
